About Mobilegov
MobileGov® is a spin-off of the European
eJustice project (development of technologies needed to authentify
users of digital system through biometric data recorded on smartcards
in order to control the access to systems managing information flows
– www.ejustice.eu.com ). MobileGov® was created in 2004, in France
an the UK.
MobileGov® has developed an innovative security solution that is compatible
with mobile application uses. MobileGov®’s technology allows to management
of personal identification, key element of security with the introduction
of smartcard ID in Europe.
The nature of MobileGov®’s technology brings the capacity to build
a trust chain throughout the numerous authentication and authorisation
platforms, as well as to be adaptable to future platforms. MobileGov®
offers a mature solution that answers to the missing security link
that allows only authorised equipment (PCs, PDAs, mobile phones, etc.)
to connect to sensitive databases or remote applications.
MobileGov® has been awarded with the “Best Innovation 2005” award
during the Capital IT in April 2005 and has received the “innovative
company” label from OSEO-ANVAR. The company actively works with prestigious
partners (such as SAP, Thales, Unisys) on European Commission funded
research projects.
A new approach
Computer security has particularly evolved on the software side: anti-viruses,
firewalls, data accounting (ICP, AES, VPN), and authentication (biometry).
Nothing is being done to secure the hardware side. MobileGov® uses
a not so well known property of numerical equipment to detect changes
of configuration that may be potentially harmful, and runs on any
existing hardware and their operating systems.
